Purpose

I’m on a journey.

Aren’t we all?

I recognize that we are all products of our upbringing, environment and those we run with. Since there really is nothing “new under the sun,” you probably won’t find an original thought among these blog posts of mine. There are plenty of folks who are much more qualified than I to discuss these matters in greater detail and with more convincing language.

The songwriter, Derek Webb, says…

I am like a mockingbird,
I’ve got no new song to sing.
And I am like an amplifier,
I just tell you what I’ve heard.
Oh, I’m like a mockingbird.

But I have recently come to believe that we are all connected to each other in a multitude of very real, tangible ways. My good friend and spiritual mentor often says, “I can’t be ‘me’ without ‘you’.”

My musings are an attempt to connect with others, share what I’ve observed and hear what you have come to know. Together, we might actually arrive at the Truth.

So this blog is simply a way for me to explore the thoughts that I’m thinking at this point in my journey. I’m a work in progress and these observations will change over time, I’m sure, as I gain better and better perspective on life over the years to come.

Care to join me in the journey?

Yes, we are on a journey and we for sure are on that same one. As Ernie says, I can’t BE me without you” and since we are ALL one, it is Truth. We are spirits having a human experience, letting God have a human experience through and with us, as we are one. His experiencing humanity lets Him experience His MAGNIFICANCE.

Isn’t it great that as a family when we finally hit that spiritual wall of ‘Huh?’ it wasn’t the end, but was just the beginning. The truly brave are able to get up from the ground, brush themselves off, and say, ‘Well, that didn’t work so well; let’s see where this other path leads.’ It’s a good thing to keep walking, even if it requires a ‘left’ turn.
